China is often called the Middle Kingdom.  This is more attributable to its place as the “Central Country” rather than any connotation that it is superior to other countries, etc.  Traveling to China presents some challenges that many are not accustomed to.  That’s why there are things you should know when traveling to China.  The country has come a long way since Mao was the leader but you have to consider that it is still a communist country.  They still don’t have the freedoms that we take for granted.  They are moving in the right direction however.  Many people believe it is only a matter of time before they become a truly free market society.
