Fix Spoolsv.exe Problems

If you have done virus scans to see if spoolsv.exe is infected, but you’re still getting the spoolsv.exe application error, then you might have a corrupted file. Here are a few steps you can do to turnaround the damage.

You can do a system restore to return your system to a point before you had the problem. System Restore only works if you have it turned on before you ran into a problem. Every time you install a new program or application, system restore saves Windows settings right before installation. Click on Start>Program Files> Accessories. Go to System Tools and click on System Restore. When prompted, choose the restore point to a date before you had the spoolsv.exe application error. Follow the steps and wait until the computer restarts and System restore tells you that the reload was successful. If you’re still having the problem, UNDO the restoration you have made and try another restore point.
