Doing a Good Job

The only way to know if you have done a good job in pet turtle care is to look at the health of the turtle after about a year of owning it as a pet. One of the best ways to do this is to check vital signs like scales, the shell, its eyes and its nose and how it is breathing. If all of these look OK, then so far, so good. Better yet, bring your turtle to the vet to get its annual check up and any possible vaccinations that may need updating. The best and only way to know you are 100 percent in the clear when it comes to the turtle’s health is to bring it to an expert who can check things that a regular owner would never suspect to look, smell, or listen for. Vet visits may be expensive, but the long life expectancy and joy of a pet that you come to love is definitely priceless and valued over monetary reasoning when raising a pet.
