If you’re a busy member of the military and working a full time job, you can attend college full time online. Here are the Facts. The American Military University was created in 1991 by Marine Corp Officer and instructor, James P. Etter. In 2002, it began a civilian branch named the American Public University. Today it operates both entities (APU and AMU) as APUS, American Public University System. Other facts include: students come from all 50 states and over 100 foreign countries. Undergrads make up 75% and and some 25% of students pursue their Master’s Degree there. The facts are that many graduates go on to careers various government agencies. The courses are all online and start monthly. Most courses last 8-16 weeks.
