It seems that everyone is looking for real ways to save money these days.  Every one I talk to is making changes to their lifestyles.  I’m sure there are some people that aren’t feeling the crunch of the struggling economy, but I don’t know any of them.  I have been able to significantly lower the interest rates that I’m paying on my credit cards using two different strategies.  First of all, I called each of my issuing banks and asked them to reduce my interest rate.  Some of them did, and some of them didn’t.  Next, I found a website that showed dozens of different institutions and their credit card offers.  I chose several cards with low interest rates and transferred all the balances from the cards that wouldn’t lower my rates.  I then cancelled my accounts with them.  This worked well for me.
