A Look at The Various Types of Pashmina

Pashminas come in a number of varieties - you have your pure pashmina, which make for ideal wedding pashminas as they are 100% pashmina wool - very soft and extremely light.

Another common type of pashmina is the 70% pashmina 30% silk variety, which are cheaper in price due to the mixed fabrics (meaning less pashmina wool, which is expensive). The silk does a good job of maintaining the softness, but you can still notice a difference in softness when comparing a 100% pashmina.

Finally there is a pashmina wool / seta mix. Seta adds stiffness to the fabric which is noticeable when compared to 100% pashmina wool shawls.
