Cast Iron Skillet: Enamel iron skillet

Enamel or porcelain came from a melted powder glass. When already melted, it is added on metals as coating. Most enameled coating item is used as decorative. Enameled skillet may seem to have no benefit one can get, but its beauty and vibrant color made it distinct. This kind of skillet is not particular in terms of how to take good care of them. When cleaning, soap can be use.

When coated enamel, it do not acquire rust unlike on cast iron skillet. It doesn’t need to be seasoned also. But the iron coming from the food leaches out, making the food inadvisable to patients with blood deficiencies (e.g. anemia). Unlike the cast iron skillet, enamel made skillets, cannot bear up the extreme heat when cooking. So, with this, long cooking hours and cooking at extreme heat is not recommended.
