After reading more than one positive Insinkerator Evolution Essential review and then getting a good deal on one from Amazon, I ended up installing this unit over a few hours the weekend before last, and without any issues. I was a tad concerned at first because it was so much bigger than the one it was replacing, but everything was well detailed in the directions. I’ll give ‘em two thumbs up for the directions. The only customization required in the end was for me to trim down an existing piece of PVC pipe and refit it under our sink. This task only took me 7 minutes to do – simple. I’d say these units are straightforward and easy enough for anybody to install.
