Understanding Pimples

Acne is a skin affliction that happens thanks to the overproduction of oil by the oil glands of the skin. The little holes in the skin ( pores ) connect to grease glands beneath the skin. The oil that typically lubricates the skin gets surrounded in blocked oil channels and ends in what we all know as spots, blackheads, and whiteheads on the surface of the skin. Many a times it also results in deeper skin wounds called cysts.

Whiteheads and blackheads are a mild form of acne while moderate acne means more blemishs and zits on face. The parts of the body most at the mercy of acne are the face, the back, and the chest. These are the locations with the highest density of sebaceous glands. In the event of grim acne, nodules are developed on face, chest, back and other parts of the body. Serious form of acne ends up in scars. many a times even mild and moderate acne leaves a scar if not treated in the right way.

Females are far more prone to acne than men. males with acne are much more likely to experience nodular acne.
