On What terms are the car being sold?

Try to find out beforehand how a particular Canadian government auction plans to sell the cars. There are usually two ways that they go about this, either sold as seen or sold with trial. Sold as seen will mean that you will not be able to inspect the car before hand. What you see during the actual bidding phase will be your only basis and you cannot return it after purchase. On the other hand with sold with trial you can get return the car an hour after the bidding ends or after you win the car in case there are any big  problems.  This is obviously a preferable method and has helped a lot of folks that experienced problems such as this in the past.
